APACHE MOUNTAIN
Our Apache Mountain homestead is located in a peaceful, remote canyon which is heavily forested by ponderosa pine, pinón pine, oak, red cedar juniper and native walnut. This is a lush habitat for the Southwest and its called the transition zone - the area which lies between high desert and alpine zones.
The temperate zone is especially attractive to summer visits. During the spring and summer, wildlife viewings are a daily event. The migration of birds during spring creates a wondrous daylong song - there is no chance of "sleeping in" during the mornings when the bird calls are at their peak.
